1. Obama, the only American President becomes Chief Guest on the 66th Republic Day
Barack Obama has become the first US President who attended the Indian Republic Day function as the Chief Guest. Obama has also visited the country twice during his office term. In the function, the US President came in his special car named The Beast.
1. ओबामा पहले अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बने जिन्हे 66 वे गडतंत्र दिवस पर मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में सम्मिलित किया गया।
बराक ओबामा पहले अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बने जिन्होने भारतीय गडतंत्र दिवस कार्यक्रम में मुख्य अतिथि बन कर उपस्तिथि दर्ज करायी. ओबामा ने अपने कार्यकाल में दूसरी बार भारत यात्रा की है। इस समारोह में अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति अपनी "द् बीस्त" नामक खास कार में आये.

2. On 66th Republic Day, women contingents of the three defense forces marched first time in the Indian history
It happened for the first time in the history of India, the women contingents of Army, Navy and Air force have march passed in the Republic Day parade on 26th January. The contingent of the Indian Army led by Captain Divya Ajith, the leader of the Indian Navy’s contingent was Lt. Commander Sandhya Chauhan and the contingent of the Indian Air Force led by Sqdn. Leader Sneha Shekhawat.
2. 66 वे गडतंत्र दिवस कार्यक्रम में भारतीय इतिहास में पहली बार तीनों सेनाओं जल, थल तथा वायु सेना की महिला सम्भाव्य ने मार्च किया.
याह भारतीय इथिहास मे पहली बार हुआ की तीन सेनाओं जल, थल तथा वायु सेना की महिला सम्भाव्य ने २६ जनवरी की परेड मे हिस्सा लिया. भारतीय थल सेना की महिला सम्भाव्य का नेतृत्व कप्तान दिव्या अजीथ ने, जल सेना की महिला सम्भाव्य का नेतृत्व ल. कमांडर संध्या चौहान तथा भारतीय वायु सेना की महिला सम्भाव्य का नेतृत्व स्क्वाद्रण लीडर स्नेहा शेखावत ने किया.

3. The great cartoonist RK Laxman is no longer with us
An illustrator, globally renowned cartoonist Rasipuram Laxman or RK Laxman took his last breath in Pune. Laxman was 94 years old. RK Laxman was born in Karnataka at Mysore in 1921. He was the younger brother of the great novelist R.K. Narayana.
3. महान कार्टूनिस्ट आर के लक्ष्मण का निधन हुआ.
एक चितेरे और विश्व विख्यात कार्टूनिस्ट रसीपुरम लक्ष्मन या आर के लक्ष्मण का निधन पुणे मे हुआ। लक्ष्मण 94 वर्ष के थे। उनका जन्म मयसोर, करनाटक में 1921 मे हुआ था। वे महान उपन्यास्कर आर के नारायण के छोटे भाई थे।

4. Divya Prakash Sinha is the new Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat
Divya Prakash Sinha is appointed as the new Secretary by the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet or ACC. The post was vacant for 2 years after Yashovardhan Azad. Sinha is an IPS officer of the Manipur Tripura cadre (batch 1979).
4. दिव्य प्रकाश सिन्हा कैबिनेट सचिवालय के नये सचिव होंगे.
दिव्य प्रकाश सिन्हा को अप्पॉइंटमेंट कमित्ती ऑफ कैबिनेट द्वारा सचिव के रूप मे नियुक्त किया गया गया। याह पद बीते दो वर्ष से यशोधरा आज़ाद के बाद से रिक्त था. सिन्हा मणिपुर त्रिपुरा कैडरे (1979 बैच) के IPS अधिकारी हैं।

5. K Durga Prasad got the position in CRPF as Director General (special)
K Durga Prasad will be the new DG (special) of CRPF i.e. Central Reserve Police Force. Prasad is an IPS officer (1981 batch) belongs to the Andhra Pradesh cadre. Earlier, he served the Special Protection Group (SPG) as the Director.
5. के. दुर्गा प्रसाद को CRPF में डिरेक्टर जनरल (स्पेशल) का पद प्राप्त हुआ।
के. दुर्गा प्रसाद CRPF (सेंट्रल रिज़र्वे पोलिस फोर्स) के डिरेक्टर जनरल (स्पेशल) होंगे। प्रसाद अन्ध्र प्रदेश कैडरे बैच 1981 के IPS अधिकारी हैं. प्रसाद ने स्पेशल प्रोटेक्शन ग्रूप के निदेशक के रूप मे अपनी सेवा प्रदान की है।

6. A famous Greek singer Demis Roussos passed away
Demis Roussos was 68 years old. He took his last breath in Greece at Athens. Demis was very famous for his voice of high pitch. Demis Roussos has initiated his career with a band known as “The Idols”, at that time he was just 17 years.
6. विख्यात ग्रीक गायक डेमिस रसोस का निधन हुआ।
डेमिस रसोस 68 वर्ष के थे। उनका देहान्त ग्रीस के एथेन्स में हुआ। डेमिस अपनी ऊंचे स्वर की अवाज़ के लिये प्रसिद्ध थे। उन्होने अपने गाने का आरंभ एक "द् इडॉल्स" नामक बैंड से की। उस समय उनकी आयु मात्र 17 वर्ष थी।

7. Libby Lane is the new and the first woman Bishop of the Church of England
Libby Lane is the new Bishop of the Church of England. She has sanctified in a ceremony took place at York Minster in the northern England. Libby Lane is sanctified as the Bishop is selected by the legislative body of the Church.
7. लिब्बी लाने इंग्लैंड के चर्च की पहली महिला बिशप होंगी।
लिब्बी लाने इंग्लैंड के चर्च की नयी बिशप बनी। उनका पवित्रिकरण उत्तरी इंग्लैंड मे स्थित योर्क मिंस्टर के समारोह मे हुआ। उन्हे पवित्रिकरण कर बिशप के रूप में चर्च की वैधानिक सभा द्वारा चुना गया।
